McIlroy’s famous food just got even better

McIlroy’s is the new Chip ‘n’ Chicken and that’s official.

The Chip ‘n’ Chicken, one of the best loved chip shops in the Crumlin area for almost 40 years,

has reinvented itself and it’s even better than

ever.

It has not only changed its name to McIlroys, but there has been a complete refurblishment of the whole establishment which now offers an even tastier and healthier menu.

In 1966 Billy McIlroy opened the

Chip ‘n” Chicken on Belfast’s Falls Road and

then moved to Crumlin in 1972 where it

flourished.

In 1996 his son Mo took over the reigns and has continued his father’s success. Recently, the establishment closed its doors for three weeks for the refurbishment - the first time in its history that it had to close. Mo said that the response to the changes from customers has been very positive.

“We have been very busy since we opened again and we have had a lot of very good response from out regulars,” he said.

Mo said that he wanted to give the chip shop a more modern look and offer customers an even tastier menu as well as healthy options.

It now boasts all new modern equipment as well as a 40-seater sit-in area for customers. There is also a kids party-room which seats up to 16 children. Booking for the room is essential.

The new menu includes salad wrap, toasties, special home-made pizzas and a full range of fresh coffee. Breakfasts will also be served from 8am each day (except Sundays).

Deliveries are available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 9.30pm. Opening hours are from 8am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday and on Sunday from 1pm to 10pm.
